Life Goes On Regardless

This book is a blend of the ordinary and the extraordinary. It is the story of one person’s war and her teenage years. Sarah Saaroni is just 13 when the story starts in 1939, and 19 in 1946, when it finishes.  In between are the horrific years of the Second World War. The war dominates, causing her to lose her home and her family and to be taken to Germany for forced labour. Yet life goes on regardless… The problems of adolescence continue alongside the trauma of life for a young girl concealing her Jewish identity in wartime Germany.
