Vive la France

A French teenager tells of life under the German Occupation, caught up in a war he does not understand... Four years of hell, you lose everyone and everything. You are alone. The war ends. You have survived. Gradually life returns to normal and you go through the motions of living again: you work, win, lose, grow up and love. You close your eyes and recall the summer of ’39. The river Touques winds its way through the Normandy countryside to the beach where you are playing. No one, but no one, is aware of the coming of Armageddon.
